Nametag for a “client”

For our first assignment for Visual Communication we were assigned the task of designing a name tag.  This is a familiar task for us, however; this time we had to design one for a classmate.  I was paired with Laura Kimmel.  Laura and I have worked together on several projects and developed an understanding of each other over the past year.  When we spoke Laura told me that she liked something simple with a focus on Line.  I was inspired by a scarf that Laura wears in the studio.  There were four requirements for the name tag.

1.  Understand who you are designing for

2.  Creat a composition that satisfies the client’s expectations

3.  Create a composition that reflects your design style

4.  Introduce through visual means

Both Laura and I were pleased with the outcome.
